Broken Car Key Extraction
Key snapped off in the door or ignition? Don't force it — we remove the broken piece and make you a working key.
Key broken in the ignition or door
A worn key can snap inside the lock. Trying to dig it out with a pin or pliers usually pushes it deeper and damages the wafers. We use dedicated extraction tools to remove the broken piece without damaging the cylinder.
After extraction
We cut a new key from the broken pieces or by code
If the key had a chip, we program the new one to the car
If the cylinder was damaged, we can repair or replace it — see Ignition Repair
Tip
If your key is bent, cracked or twists hard in the lock, replace it before it breaks — it's the cheaper fix.
